Meet Dr. Fross

Dr. Scott Fross is an Illinois native who attended The University of Illinois, College of Dentistry, receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1996. Dr. Fross continued his training at The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, serving as Chief Resident in 2000-2001. Upon completion of a 5 year residency, Dr. Fross entered private practice and has had the privilege of serving the Mid-Peninsula community since 2001.
Dr. Fross specializes in dental implants, and is trained in the most current treatment modalities (including advanced placement techniques and the regeneration of bone and soft tissues). Removal of wisdom teeth and management of oral pathologies are a mainstay of daily procedures, and apprehensive patients are provided general anesthesia. Employing a vast range of technique and knowledge from case to case, Dr. Fross consistently demonstrates meticulous expertise in the field of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Fross is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is on staff at The Stanford University Medical Center and Lucille-Packard Children’s Hospital. Dr. Fross is an active educator in the dental community, as well, teaching post-graduate students at The University of Pacific School of Dental Medicine. He routinely has pre-medicine / pre-dental students shadow, and enjoys the mentorship role. Dr. Fross currently serves as an anesthesia evaluator for the Dental Board of California, ensuring that other oral and maxillofacial surgeons are administering safe anesthesia to their patients. He has served on charitable boards as well as professional societies including the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Fross lives in Menlo Park with his wife, Nicole. Outside of the office, he enjoys strength training, golfing, cycling, skiing and sailing. He closely follows the Bay Area teams including The Warriors, Giants, 49ers and Stanford Athletics.
